Another twist to the journey.  We will be cancelling our trip to Spain as some health issues have popped up that need to be attended to.

Now the work starts again, cancelling flights, accommodations, hotels, car rentals, etc.  and a application to the insurance company to try and mitigate our losses.

Things are going smoother than anticipated.  Fortunately, some of the items that were booked were not paid for and had free cancellations.  The funds from the bankrupt airline have already been paid (thank you PayPal), as well as a large portion of the main airline costs and the ferry and hotel costs.  And all this is before we have even submitted our claim to the insurance company.

Happy to say that we have been fully refunded for all our expenses related to this cancelled trip.  Both airlines, accommodations, ferry and hotel costs have been refunded, some by the companies themselves, the balance from the insurance company.  Our only non-reimbursed cost was the purchase of the insurance it's self.
